Built by hand first
Mechanical engineering at Southampton taught him to design something, build it and watch it fail on the test rig. The Formula Student racing car made that literal: a car designed in CAD, then built and assembled by the team.

An MSc in Nanotechnology at UCL moved the work from machines to materials: graphene–diamond structures, night-vision materials and supercapacitors, studied in the cleanroom one layer of atoms at a time.
His PhD at UCL turned nanodiamond into carbon nano-onions for energy storage. That line of work became patent filings in carbon materials and then in nuclear voltaic power: one US patent granted in 2025 and applications across nine families.
He builds the software hands-on: more than 17,000 commits under his own account, across a post-quantum VPN, a browser, apps, finance infrastructure and an AI film studio.
Dreamscape Code, his first novel, follows a nurse into the worlds we enter in sleep. His next book, Gravity Doesn't Vote, is on its way from Tingle Press.
